A 27-year-old man lost his life after becoming trapped in a machine at a recycling plant in Cardiff, an inquest has revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 8 July, Kyle Colcomb from Newport died due to compression asphyxia with blunt force injuries to his lower trunk, as heard at the Pontypridd Coroner’s Court on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Colcomb was employed at Atlantic Recycling, a company linked to a firm that donated \u00a3200,000 to Vaughan Gething’s Welsh Labour leadership campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colleagues described Mr. Colcomb as “an absolute gentleman” and “totally irreplaceable.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a social media statement, his colleagues at M&B Hydraulics expressed their sorrow: “We are heartbroken to announce that Kyle was tragically taken in an on-site incident at a Cardiff site. Kyle was an outstanding fitter, an absolute gentleman, and an all-round nice guy. Totally irreplaceable.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
